FAQ

Where does the data come from?

From open public Dota 2 stats: player profiles, matches, tiers by rank and position, matchups, items, talents. Only ranked matches count.

How often are stats updated?

Hero and meta stats update several times a day. A player profile is fetched when you open the page and stored on our side, so repeat visits load instantly.

What is a counter pick in Dota 2?

A hero with a historically higher win rate against the chosen opponent. Advantage is the win rate vs that hero minus the counter's average win rate (rare pairs are smoothed).

How many games before a number is reliable?

We hide pairs with fewer than ~40 games and smooth rare matchups toward the hero's average win rate to cut the noise. Tiers have their own minimum match threshold.

What is item “lift”?

The difference between a hero's win rate with the item and the hero's usual win rate. Positive lift means the item performs better than expected on that hero.

How do I find my profile?

Paste your Friend ID from the Dota 2 client (e.g. 127225917) or a Steam profile link like /profiles/7656… into search, or log in with Steam. Public match data must be enabled in Dota 2 settings.

Why does data sometimes load slowly?

Stats sources limit requests per minute. The page retries on its own, and after the first successful load the data is stored on our side.

Why log in with Steam and what do you store?

Login is only needed for personal pages. We never see your Steam password: after login there's just a signed cookie with your Steam ID. Public stats work without logging in.
